THE LOCAL CONCERT EVENT FEATURING SOME OF THE MOST EXCITING INDEPENDENT METAL ACTS WILL TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY, MARCH 26, 2011 IN MANDAN, ND
“Local Metal Music is ALIVE and WELL in 2011!”
BISMARCK, ND — Introducing some of the most exciting up-and-coming independent bands to concert goers around the area... BRING IT TOGETHER 2 will happen on Saturday, March 26 at The Post in Mandan, ND [located 2.5 miles south of Mandan, on highway 1806]. Twelve acts from around the region will perform starting at 4:00 PM local time, the cost is $10.00 at the door. This is an all ages event. “BRING IT TOGETHER 2 is going to provide a platform that showcases some of the best independent acts in the region,” said LANE HOFFER [founder of 701 CREW]. “The combination of bands paired with an affordable entry to get in will give those attending the value and opportunity to discover, what may possibly become the talent of tomorrow for the ever-growing metal genre.”
Returning headliners IN DEFENCE [from Minnesota] will once again headline this year’s festival. The band has played almost 400 shows to date including multiple tours covering most of the continental United States and a month and a half long tour across the pond in Europe [during the months of September through November of 2009]. They've released two full length recordings “Don’t Know How To Break Dance” back in 2008, and “Into The Sewer” the following year. This band is quickly gaining attention of metal fans in their state. They're looking to gain more fans and more attention with their aggressive and energetic performance... It's one metal act you don't want to miss.
ENSHRINED is another act from Minnesota, formed back in 2004 by three friends who were sick of not hearing what they wanted out of a local scene. From the beginning their mission was clear. That was to create a unique sound through the blending of traditional influences and to raise awareness of the human condition. As they evolved over the years, their mission remained the same... No boundaries, and no compromise.
“Unrelenting. Uncompromising. Unstoppable.” Those are the words to describe Minnesota act REAPING ASMODEIA. Making their debut to the festival, they vow to step up and set themselves aside from anything trendy. Through both their music and live performance, this machine is here to prove a very blunt point. That point is, you do not have to follow trends to turn heads.
Two other acts from Minnesota will make their presence felt at the festival. — Since the release of their sophmore effort “Remote.” The Minneapolis group HIGH HOPES have received a lot of attention from around the region and an article in Midwest Movement Magazine. Fueled by the success of their EP [which they produced and recorded themselves], 2011 is shaping up to be their biggest and possibly busiest year yet. — And to round up the Minnesota invasion, AUSTRALIS will perform at the event, this band formed in 2009 and have dealt with a few lineup changes since then. They recorded a three track demo in late 2009 and later began work on the EP “Eidolon” in 2010. Having completed a month long tour in June 2010 with Orwell, the band has been busy writing and recording songs for their full length debut, to be released later this year.
North Dakota will have it's own ferocious mix of the best up-and-coming acts from the surrounding area, including VENDETTA SPOKEN, IF I RAN THE ZOO, PRIMAE NOCTIS, IT CAME FROM THE SEA, REACH FOR THE SKY, TEA FOR RUBY [all of which are from Bismarck/Mandan] and I, APPARATUS [from Minot]. Together, these seven bands are no strangers to local shows as they've bulldozed onto the scene and quickly made themselves known to local concert goers [from around the area] and all have pummeled the stage, while delivering the intensity and heaviness that local fans have grown to expect, each time they perform. This year's BRING IT TOGETHER 2 festival is a true mix of molten local bands, and smoldering up-and-comers, who are bringing their A games and giving the fans nothing less of an amazing day this March... Support live music!
